the real thing

Life in reality is not as impossible as we make it. It's simple like the fairy tales we believe in, the difference is in how we perceive it. When we don't get something, we have 2 options:
1.high grapes are sour
Or
2.it's not fair
Nothing is generalised though but most situations will follow the above rule. We are humans and with every tiny information we process in our minds it makes us complex. Every moment our desire to conquer grows and achievement or failure meets a tag of 'just/unjust'...etc.
For a moment forget this world, what it says or does, believe in your dream and work for it, it maybe the magic sauce of achieving your dreams/wishes....and that is 'the real thing'

On a star.....weighing pros of 'death'

The greatest people who mattered to me and aren't here had told me when they were gone, they'd be in a star, far away in that star. For every moment I have felt peace in them, so there's something positive about death maybe that I can't understand. However I miss them like anything and today I talk to the star in which they reside.

In which star do you stay,

Are you happy,

Are you sane?

I don't know how it is there,

But I wish it's better than me,

It's better than a world of lies,

Now that your truth has left us,

I hope you don't miss me

As much as I do,

Then it won't be fun

There are times,

When i'm scared,

I'm scared to accept,

That i'm scared of who you are today,

Maybe the unknown haunts me,

But right now,

I'm tired of being scared,

But I today I was thinking,

Looking at all those stars,

if I got a chance to choose,

A star or this world,

What would I do?

Tips:

There is nothing you have to buy, it is only what you need and wish to buy. I do not own any of these, they are collections I liked and thought could be helpful for your shopping. I always buy based on budgets and my liking not fashion, here are somethings you can keep in mind:

1. Buy best brands stuff in sale (do not overbuy)

2. Buy fresh shoes as when shoes get old,, they give discounts buy your feet can get cut in hard shoes

3.Buy gowns that accentuate your figure not that of a model, they have separate models for separate cuts so all gowns look nice to us

4.Buy coats/gowns/shoes of neutral colours so they can be reused as much as possible eg.pink coat goes with pink shoes? but grey shoes go with all

5.Reuse, recombine and create new style by mix and match eg. tie a scarf to pep up things

6.Remember to spend 'hard-earned money' wisely.

A tale to remember on christmas

Yes, you can't deny we are all excited about the much awaited time of the year, the month of Christmas. And today we will learn how to make it more memorable and helpful.

Story1:

As I declined the steps when done with the Christmas tree decorations, I happened to look outside the window. There was not much but snow and a small child in torn clothes. The harsh winds could not break her spirit. She is the manifestation of 'The Little Match Girl', however they live right before us. Let it not be so this Christmas, this time when we look outside, let the neighborhood have enough clothes. We have bought new ones, why not lend our old ones and help others and in return be blessed by the millions?

Story2: 

The world was black, my Christmas tree was black with soot and also the snow was black. No other color, just black. I didn't like it and woke up with tears, it was a nightmare. We don't want it to be true, do we? Would you like a black Christmas? Then lets take a step to get a greener planet and also save money as we do. Let's burn some fat and cycle our way home.

My activities~thanksgiving

My last post featured top 5 things we should do. I did some other things, small ones but if we all did it, it could make a big difference :) . Here are they....

I was sick, yet attended work
- I wanted to thank my job and say it I loved it in my small way. I felt nice that's why! :)

I saved electricity
-The office air conditions are always on, well mostly. I generally feel cold, but i'm a tinsy part. So, I requested them to shut down for some time, to save some of that precious electricity. Say what? My colleague did it... :)

Donated
-Not much but I actually donated 10 bux to the public transport driver, that is more than my fare. I genuinely try to do that more when i'm not broke, feels nice and you help someone nice.

Bought & made gifts
-Got some gifts for my buddies-books and hand painted some t-shirts too! Wanna see?

Top 5 on Thanksgiving

So here's top 5 things you should do this thanksgiving:

1. Spend quality time with loved ones(family,friends,special one)

2. Give to the needy(some food,clothing,donate) and be proud of it

3. Eat loads and be ready for the extra carb workout tomorrow

4. Eat homemade(priceless stuff you can never get elsewhere)

5. Make a promise to yourself to always find lots of time for the loved ones and for yourself

Count your blessings, its alot to give you what you have today. Thank your loved ones, spend time with them, not just this day but every possible moment, it is something you will always be thankful for. This is also something we take for granted but it goes away without any notice.

Spirit of thanking- happy thanksgiving

The true spirit of thanksgiving is giving- it may be to the poor/old/diseased, it maybe to any other needy, it may be to your family. Charity starts at home, yes and this is that one opportunity when everyone wants to spend that 1 quality moment with their family and share the spirit of giving and getting. Did you know?

A small world and finding happiness

I happened to check the top 20 most searched songs and came across "All of me-John Legend",I've embedded below. For some time I see the videos, quality super good=film but the truth is hardly reflected.


No offense, I would take the example of this but my intentions are not to offend any fan because truly I liked the song too even if it's not in my favs.

I understand that the concept of perfect imperfections is perfectly lovable, kudos to the idea but implicitly many of the videos put forward a image in our minds of life-how it would be. As it is we are in an era of over expectation fro ourselves, from the world and from life. The scenes depicted (in many of the filmy video-songs) portray a life unreal or set an expectation level which won't happen all your life. However in our minds, I set an image of the unreal future and when I don't get it, I am frustrated. You and I should be conscious enough to keep distinguishing what is cinematography and life. Anyways if you stayed in water so long, you'd catch a terrible cold (a-choooo)-excuse me.

Some of the below are carry more truth, I agree a film is more entertaining as long as we are conscious of its impact, it cannot impact-

1. A singer enjoys his song-real life,small thing but real joy


2. Enjoying moments of dance-Dirty dancing

The world is small, the people we will meet will be limited, our life partners will not look like james bond/charlie's angels. We need to look beyond, yes 'accepting imperfections' is a step forward. However accepting life as it comes and making the small moments count are more important. A regular life(which is also very happening in itself) can have various joys of small moments,experiences,faith,love and togetherness. Most of us will not be in 'Lamborghini' , in 'large palaces' and yet you will be the prince/princess to someone. Don't let the huge things block your view, the genuine joy in love is the feeling in itself, it does not matter whether it's in a jaguar or not. Money is a necessity, don't make it luxury. Flamboyance is addiction not necessity. Your life is too short, think, decide and learn to choose the genuine. Be conscious and remember the film might look nice but 'life' is a different enjoyable story altogether.

This is my sweet message to you all, let me know if you agree/disagree or maybe things I missed. Would be happy to face criticism, I'm not perfect and I don't want to be, however I would love to learn and listen.

In a selfish world, it is weird how we even measure a word we say. Every action is counted and timed. "Time is money" and we have taken it too seriously. Most of us lead a passive life and pass away with useless cash and make life what it is not meant to be.

Well let me ask you then "How are you doing?". Did you feel nice? Ofcourse you did, so make it a point, to talk to people around, to make relations in real life and not only social media. Smile and ask "How are you".You will make friends and you might make someone's day. Even better you might find just your soul mate which you aren't able to on the so called dating sites!

1. Start smiling and talking to people around you (reduces social media anxiety)
2.Stop staring at the mobile screen when waiting in a line, notice people (you will learn something)
3.Donate blood(You will save lives without giving yours,even better some places give a work leave)

It all begins while we are infants,
When bad things happen,
And we don't know what to do,

I don't believe in not believing,
I don't know a lot of things,

I keep telling this, someone once told me "When do you write?"
I told him "Whenever I am motivated to, I want to inspire the world with something I believe is a great cause or even when I want to pour out my heart....it is a moment I cannot determine"
He laughed out loud.....I didn't and I never will because I believe in what I said, it was very honest and mostly I believe in the strength of dreams.

There is some strength in doing something you are skilled at but there is a godly strength in something you dream/believe in because there is no hindrance that can stop you, no power greater than your desire within and I believe in this, I believe in you.....each moment every time, even if noone else does, I do. So if you think the times are difficult and you are tired then let me tell you
"A smooth sea has never made a skilled sailor". My friends you are in a journey, journey of your dreams, most men/woman donot have their dreams- it is that difficult. But you are there, you have the courage to live your dream, you will never have to lie to your heart all your life, you will make it someday even if it takes time, I am proud that you are chasing your dreams.

The 100% attendance kid

The 100% attendance kid was called 'Kimo' and the whole school knew him. He got the awards for attendance, which was okay but we all hated him because whenever we were absent he was the lord to learn from. The lord never moved an inch from his place, attended all classes, prepared for all exams and never ever was absent. In chinese philosophy 'Ki' meant  circulating life energy and so we believed it was in him, the lord of energy and non-absence. It was not respect but mockery, however nothing could beat Kimo, he still won his awards all his years in school. Now was farewell. We were a little surprised to see his absence, it was the first time you see? Later we got to know, he had proposed and was soon to get married to the girl. Kimo's life was envious now....

We are over our school days, grown up, some in touch, some not. Kimo remains a matter of discussion almost at every reunion and the best part is Kimo has become a legacy to the school. Kimo's generations have followed him into the school and due to his early marriage, he would be a grandfather by now. However everyone still remains envious of Kimo even today. Many of us didn't get considered because our profiles had a low attendance percentile, we cursed Kimo. Often our presence got diluted in classes and we missed the pretty teacher's attention, cursed Kimo. He had ruined our lives like an alien and we unanimously hated him. We decided to have a grand reunion and send VIP invites to Kimo. It was a targeted plan to ridicule the curse of our lives 'Kimo'.

The preparations were ablaze. Everything went perfectly well and the day arrived, however Kimo ditched us. Our heart burn in having being defeated again but his grandmother came. She broke the bad news that Kimo was taken ill recently and could not make it. It was shocking how Kimo had managed this human stuff-falling ill? His grandmother was so humble and sweet, we got talking to her and loved her chitchats. She had prepared some very traditional chinese dishes that we all enjoyed. She had also served something very soothing. On asking further she said it was a drink of various herbs from ancient days that helped one keep out of cold. I was curious and asked her about Kimo's life. Slowly I derived Kimo had this drink everyday and thus also considered this as a probable reason for his unwanted presence at school. On knowing the details, it was too complex to make, I didn't take any efforts. Later, someone from their lineage had found an easy way to get it to us, it was called 'chyawanprash'. Having this may not make you like 'Kimo' but it surely can increase your chances. However, don't be Kimo, be different, be you. chyawanprash may only help you to stay fit always, so you could be more of you.

Oranges in heaven

I don't know if your a mother or not but if you are, let me tell you, this very exercise with your children could be great help in future. As kids, my mother took us(my sister and I) to the terrace to have oranges. She peeled them for us while we played around, fought and took the vitamin C doses. We loved those days, even today I associate with oranges very specially, now you know why. There were several other things that happened with this experience- we grew as siblings and as children, our bond with our sibling and mother grew very strong, we associated that moment of bliss with happiness/heaven.

Sometimes simple things in life make a huge impact. This particular thing in my life always has. Oranges in the vacations on the terrace was a moment in heaven.

Its another morning,
And vacations it is,
It means mother will get oranges,
And we will spend it on the terrace it seems;

Mother will peel the oranges for us,
While I hide behind her for a game or two,
But what is it we should play?
Have you thought of this sister dear?

The sun is high,
The terrace is vast,
The time is come,
Let us head towards the terrace, let's run!

We play hither and thither,
We fight and deny and sulk about it,
While mother has peeled the few oranges,
And she tells us a tale of forgiveness and love;

In this tale,
A sister leaves another,
I cry profoundly,
Clutch you desperately,
Forgetting what had passed between us,
I cannot bear to be apart sister;

In this triangle,
Mother must be there,
We pull her in and sob together,
My mother is smiling,
She says we are wise

This heaven of ours and the oranges in it,
